Find what you want to buy
View the website under the Shop by Category or from the Special Offers to find something that interests you.
To get more information about a product, click its name or image to see its product information page. There you'll find:
- image/s of the item
- price of the item
- product information
- how many items are available
- the buttons you need to add the item to your Basket
Add to your Basket
The Basket is where you store items you intend to buy; you can always remove items from the Basket if you change your mind. When you find what you want click the ‘Add to Basket’ button on the item's product information page.
You will then see the item listed in your Basket. To select another item for your Basket press the ‘Continue Shopping’ button and repeat process. You can change the details of your basket at any time before proceeding to purchase. If you want to change the quantity you’ve ordered just type how many you want in the quantity box. If you wish to remove the item altogether just tick the remove box next to that item. To reflect these changes press the button 'Click here to update your basket'.
The delivery charge for your order is displayed as you fill out your basket. Note if you amend you order the delivery charge will also change when you update your basket. This is because delivery charge is based on weight of the products. For all orders over £500, excluding VAT, delivery is free within mainland UK.
When you have finished filling your basket click the "checkout" button to fill out your order.
Progress with the order
Log in
If you are a new customer select the type of account button.
Fill out the registration form. The address you provide here will normally be your billing address, we provide you with the facility to enter another address if your delivery address is different to your billing address.
The email address you provide here will be the only email address we can use to communicate with you about your order, so please double-check it. Choose a password for your account, DACTA will not provide the password for you. You'll be able to use your email address and password to make changes to your order and account information or if you need to arrange a refund, so make sure you remember which email address and password you used.
To complete registration you will be asked to confirm your registration through an email link and this will activate your account. This is done as an additional security measure for our customers.
If you are a Business User you have the choice to pay by either credit/debit card or invoice account. To pay by invoice you must provide all business company details to enable verification of your account. In order to complete your registration when paying by invoice you will be notified that we need to verify your account first and this can take up to 72 hours. We will send you a registration notification email message once your account has been verified.
If you are a returning customer enter your email address and password and press the 'Log In'. You will then be taken to a welcome page which will tell you if you have items in your basket waiting to go to check out, give you access to your account details and view orders you have already made.
Method of payment
Next let us know how you want to pay for your order.
For Credit/Debit card payments the transaction is carried out by WorldPay on behalf of DACTA. We accept Visa, Delta, Visa Electron, MasterCard, JCB, Switch and Solo. All orders must be prepaid. If you're paying with a credit or debit card, enter the number without spaces or dashes.
For Business Users there is an additional option to pay by invoice account. Payment of invoices can be either by bank transfer or cheque made payable to DACTA Ltd.
Review and submit your order
Check the information you've provided. If you need to make adjustments click the appropriate button next to the address or items ordered and review.
When you're ready, click the 'Confirm' button to submit your order. We'll then send you a confirmation email message.
Viewing your order and returning items
After placing your order you can view it, using My Account where you can see the orders you have made and request a Returns Authorisation Number should you have to return an item relating to that order. Please note only one Returns Authorisation Number will be issued per order.
